Privacy Policy

MariBus is an independent Malaysian public-transport application operated by Chicken Rice Developer Studio. This policy explains what information MariBus uses and the choices available to you.

Information we process

Account information

If you create an account, Firebase Authentication and Firestore process your email address, username, display name, profile photo, sign-in provider, subscription status and account timestamps.

Routes and preferences

When you save a journey, MariBus stores its origin, destination, selected operator, route details and creation time in your account.

Location and journey searches

Location permission is optional. If used, your coordinates help show your position, nearby stops and journey options. Journey coordinates are sent to the MariBus service and may be processed by Google Maps to provide maps, places and directions.

Feedback

If you contact us, we process the message, optional reply email and optional screenshot so we can investigate and respond.

Advertising and technical services

The free version may use Google advertising services. Google Maps, Firebase, Vercel, Resend and Google advertising services may process device, network, diagnostic or cookie information under their own privacy terms.

How information is used

• Provide accounts, routes, live information and saved journeys.
• Estimate journeys and fares and improve route-data quality.
• Respond to support and safety reports.
• Protect MariBus from abuse and diagnose failures.
• Manage subscriptions and advertising where enabled.

Retention and deletion

Account information and saved routes remain until you delete them or request support. Feedback is retained only as reasonably needed to investigate the report. Operational logs may be retained temporarily by hosting providers for security and reliability.

You can delete your MariBus account and its saved routes from Manage account. If deletion cannot be completed, use the feedback page to request assistance.

Children and safety

MariBus is a travel-information tool and is not intended to collect information knowingly from children without appropriate consent. Live locations and arrival estimates may be delayed; always follow official operator and safety instructions.
